Eibar will probably avoid relegation from LaLiga Santander if they get at least 36 points, according to head coach José Luis Mendilibar.
Eibar, in 17th place with 32 points, managed to open up a six-point gap between themselves and 18th placed Mallorca thanks to a morale-boosting 1-0 victory against Valencia on Thursday.
Added to that, Mallorca’s 3-1 defeat to Athletic Club on Saturday has given Eibar the opportunity to extend that gap by nine points.
“Maybe we’ve done enough already, or maybe we’ve nothing at all,” said Mendilibar ahead of Eibar’s match against Granada.
“I think we will have to get to 36 or 37 points, bearing in mind that it is very difficult to win.
“None of the teams down there have won more than one game in a row, which is to say it’s hard for us.
“But having games so close together means that two victories make you jump ahead.
“We need to stay alert and try to catch the people ahead of us.”
Mendilibar will be returning to the dugout for the first time since being sent off during Eibar’s 2-2 with Athletic Club on June 17.
Eibar have a tough task to overcome a Granada side that have only lost four times at home in 2019/20 and could still qualify for the Europa League.
“”It’s going to be a complicated game,” Mendilibar added. “They defend well, compete well and have very good people upstairs.
“Whichever teams scores the first goal will have the game pretty much won.
“It’s very difficult to turn the score around at the moment.
“I don’t think any team is at 100 per cent, and we all find it difficult to score or even to create chances.”
Mendilibar will be without Argentinian midfielder Gonzalo Escalante, whose contract runs out on June 30, experienced defenders Anaitz Arbilla and Iván Ramis, who are injured, and forward Sergi Enrich is suspended due to picking up five yellow cards.
